Eliminating weeds

To maintain your flower bed you can weed it manually or with a small hand hoe or fork. For deep rooted weeds, however, sometimes it is difficult to remove all of the roots and this means that the plant will regrow.

Eliminating difficult weeds

Take bindweed (Convolvulus arvensis) as an example - its nature is to climb up the nearest support. This weed has an unfortunate tendency to wrap itself around rose bushes and other plants in flower beds. In spite of its pretty flowers, bindweed restricts light to other plants, and stops your rose bushes and other shrubs from growing properly.

Eliminating this weed is particularly difficult, as to prevent any regrowth, the roots must first be totally destroyed. With this type of weed, the worst part is that the roots can split and regrow after being damaged, so weeding becomes even more difficult!

The Roundup Gel applicator applies the weedkiller on to the leaf of bindweed without affecting any plants you want to keep, and eliminates it right down to its root.
