Roundup Weedkiller is Safe to Use

Please be reassured that there is absolutely no reason to be concerned about the domestic use of Roundup® weedkiller.

The active ingredient in Roundup® branded weedkillers glyphosate, is present in almost every domestic weedkiller available, has recently been approved for a further 5 years by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) and The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA). Both these organisations and the overwhelming weight of scientific research has concluded that there is no evidence to suggest that glyphosate causes cancer, as have regulatory organisations across the world including the U.N.’s Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and World Health Organization (WHO).

Further, Australia’s chemical regulator APVMA (Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority), have stated that glyphosate is safe when used as directed. The APVMA has recently (2016) reviewed the use of glyphosate in light of overseas research, and have reaffirmed their stance on the efficacy and safety of this product. More details can be found here.

We therefore stand by the safety of our products and would like to reassure you once again that the products you have at home are completely safe when used as directed.
